So terribly queer

To be unmoored … again … by death

To lay down

Beneath a blue sky

Only to wake up beside a black dog

She’s no longer a phone call away

We’ll never have our morning coffee together again

The worlds greatest listener is gone

She’d quietly listen to all my fears

All my ambitions and delusions

And never judged me

I miss her so badly

I just want my mom

My eyes are puddles of grief

But she’s gone

I listen to the cello alone

Haunting…dark…I cry by myself

The strings will console me

Envelop the melancholy

Close my eyes … deep breaths … stillness

My only company are my poets

An Irishman

And Marvin …

     Whoa, oh mercy, mercy me

Oh, things ain't what they used to be

I wish I could hide

Beneath a wool blanket

I wish the storms would stay

The rain would never stop

Nothing but the sound of distant thunder

Burgundy leaves in still puddles

Medicine for subconscious thoughts

That I’m avoiding
